Easy Vegan Yogurt Dressing

Sharon Palmer RD

If you’re looking for an easy, basic Vegan Yogurt Dressing, this simple 6-ingredient, 5-minute recipe is just what you needed! Based on cultured plant-based yogurt, this classic, creamy Mediterranean-style dressing is great served to accompany bowl meals, salads, veggie balls, falafels, pita sandwiches, grain salads, and beyond. It’s also really wonderful served with Indian dishes, such as curried chickpeas, dal, naan, and rice. The secret foundation is that creamy, tangy cultured plant-based yogurt; it’s important to be picky, as this recipe will not work with a sweetened yogurt. The brand I like the best for this recipe is Kite Hill Plain Almond Milk Yogurt. In fact, I keep this in my fridge at all times so that I can whip up this simple vegan yogurt dressing at a moment’s notice. I tell you, once you get started with this dressing, it will become part of your essential plant-based kitchen hacks. Best of all, it’s just so easy! Just stir in garlic, lemon juice, cumin, and chopped parsley, then season with a pinch of sea salt and ground black pepper. And you’re good! Get to topping your meals the light, healthy way today!

    • It is the suggested serving for an average recipe such as a grain bowl or pita sandwich, but you don’t have to limit it to 1/4 cup. You may decide you’d like to use more on some recipes.
