If you’re a fan of the “in a mug” trend—where you just pop a few ingredients into a mug, nuke it, and eat it, then you’ll really love this 5-ingredient recipe for Vegan Caramel Apple Microwave Mug. Because it’s as healthy as it is delicious. It’s one of my favorite kid-friendly snacks. I used to help my son Nicholas make this as an after school snack. It’s one of the first recipes he could make on his own. Try it out and you’ll find a new easy favorite dessert, snack, or breakfast side.

Just follow these steps for this   Vegan Caramel Apple Microwave Mug.

Here are the all of the ingredients required to make this recipe.
Place all the ingredients in the mug.
Place the mug in the microwave.
Set the timer for 2 minutes.
When done, remove the mug from the microwave and stir to combine.
Top with granola and enjoy!

  1. Wash apple, and core, leaving peel on. Cut into wedges.
  2. Place apple wedges, margarine, cinnamon, and brown sugar or coconut palm sugar in a large microwavable mug.
  3. Microwave for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove, stir and top with granola.
