Wild Blueberry Purple Power Smoothie (Vegan, Gluten-Free)

Sharon Palmer

This Wild Blueberry Purple Power Smoothie is packed with purple plant-powered antioxidant compounds, by way of wild blueberries, purple potatoes, red chard, beet juice, and flax seeds. Wild blueberries are particularly potent in anthocyanins, compounds linked with disease protection. Plus, I love adding them to smoothies because their royal purple shade and sweet flavor can overshadow the most pungent, bitter tastes of added greens.

In this smoothie, those slow-digesting carbs, plant proteins, and healthy fats make this smoothie a meal in one or powerful snack or recovery drink. Plus it’s creamy, zesty and downright delicious.
