This High Protein Super Green Smoothie is packed with the power of plant proteins from split peas, plus healthful ingredients, like ginger, turmeric, whole fruit, and greens.
One way to boost the protein and nutrients in your smoothie is with pea protein powder, which is made by simply extracting the natural pea protein from yellow-split peas into a powder form, thus, making it an excellent source of plant-based protein for numerous applications in the kitchen. Pea protein is dairy-free and soy-free, so it can work in a variety of diets. Depending on the brand, it can have around 10 grams of protein per scoop. This source of protein is a very sustainable option, too. Try this pea protein powder to get started.
I love to use pea protein powder in smoothies, shakes, puddings, or porridges to boost my protein intake during the day. It’s great to simply add a scoop or two to your recipes during the week.
I created this super wholesome pea-powdered green smoothie filled with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredients, including ginger, turmeric, fruit, and green powder. This makes it a perfect recovery snack to help reduce inflammation associated with exercise. This is a great, hearty pre- or post-workout smoothie, quick breakfast or snack on the go, or meal prep smoothie. I love to fill mason jars with this plant-powered smoothie and take it along with me wherever I’m going. Just reach into the fridge, snap up the smoothie, and out the door you go.
