Easy Cheerios™ Treats

Sharon Palmer

This is a traditional recipe in my house—my kids used to beg me to make this (they still do, really!). Reminiscent of a Rice Krispy Treat, this no-bake Easy Cheerios™ Treats is based on nut butter and agave syrup—a much more wholesome version than typical cereal treats. Best of all, it’s easy as can be. Just mix it up, pour it in a dish, and chill it overnight. Then slice it up into squares and enjoy! It’s great as a treat in lunch boxes, as a power snack after a workout, or as a fun dessert at picnics and parties. You can also mix it up a bit—choose a different nut butter or dried fruit that you might have on hand.

  • ½ cup peanuts, chopped coarsely
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

  2. Place Cheerios, cranberries or raisins, and peanuts in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour hot nut butter mixture over cereal mixture, and stir well to moisten all ingredients.
  4. Spray a medium baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
