Ingredients
- 1 cup leafy greens (i.e., beet or radish tops, broccoli or cauliflower leaves)
- 1 cup vegetable scraps (i.e., carrot or beet peels, broccoli stems, kale stems)
- 1 cup fruit (i.e., bananas, berries, peaches, nectarines, citrus—may use fruit peels)
- 2 tablespoons hemp or flax seeds
- 1 cup plant-based milk, plain, unsweetened (i.e., soy, oat, or almond)
Instructions
- Place leafy greens, vegetables scraps, fruit, hemp or flax seeds, and plant-based milk in container of a small blender.
- Process about 2 minutes, until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into two large glasses (about 1 ½ cups per glass) and serve immediately.
- May store in sealed Mason jars for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
