Description

With only six ingredients, these super-easy, retro, baked dessert bars can be whipped up in no time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs*
  • ¼ cup dairy-free margarine, melted
  • 1 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup unsweetened, shredded coconut
  • 1 7.4-ounce can sweetened, condensed coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix together graham cracker crumbs* with melted margarine in the bottom of a 9 x 9-inch square baking dish, and pat down firmly.
  3. Sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips.
  4. Sprinkle evenly with walnuts.
  5. Sprinkle evenly with coconut.
  6. Place sweetened, condensed coconut milk in a microwave-safe dish and heat in the microwave for about 1 minute, until warm. Remove, and stir until smooth and creamy.
  7. Drizzle sweetened, condensed coconut milk evenly over bar mixture.
  8. Place in oven and bake 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing (the mixture will become firm as it cools).
  10. Slice into 9 squares.

Notes

*Make graham cracker crumbs by placing graham cracker squares in a blender or food processor container and processing it until fine crumbs are achieved.
