Description
This gorgeous blue-green mermaid smoothie bowl is made with spirulina, chia seeds, banana & citrus. Vegan, gluten-free, healthy, and free of oil, sugar, or salt!
Ingredients
Scale
Smoothie Bowl:
- 2 small bananas, peeled
- 1 large orange, peeled
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder
- ¼ cup soymilk, plain, unsweetened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Toppings:
- 1 teaspoon shredded coconut
- 1 teaspoon cocoa nibs
- ¼ cup fresh or frozen berries, assorted (i.e., strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)
Instructions
- Place bananas, orange, chia seeds, spirulina, soymilk, and vanilla in a small blender container.
- Cover and process for a few seconds, until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a large individual bowl (about 2 cups). Garnish with shredded coconut, cocoa nibs, and fresh berries.
- Cover and chill until serving time. For best results, chill overnight.
