This Mermaid Smoothie Bowl is completely plant-based (vegan), and packed with the cool, rich goodness of bananas, citrus, chia seeds, soymilk, and spirulina—a nutrient-packed, blue green algae that gives this smoothie bowl it’s pure ocean color and nutrition punch.

Smoothie Bowl:

  • 2 small bananas, peeled
  • 1 large orange, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder
  • ¼ cup soymilk, unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Toppings:


Instructions

  1. Place bananas, orange, chia seeds, spirulina, soymilk, and vanilla in a small blender container.
  2. Cover and process for a few seconds, until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour into a large individual bowl (about 2 cups). Garnish with shredded coconut, cocoa nibs, and fresh berries.
  4. Cover and chill until serving time. For best results, chill overnight.
