One of my favorite all-time classic, go-to plant-based meals is simple grilled tofu. This tofu hack is so easy, healthy, nutritious, and versatile. All you have to do is mix up a marinade, marinate your sliced tofu, and grill it on an indoor grill, electric grill, our outdoor grill rack. Then you can enjoy the grilled tofu steaks as an entree on its own (try it with a corn and potato boil!), layered in a sandwich, or sliced into a grain bowl or salad. Once you have grilled tofu on hand, it will be gone in minutes! Grilled tofu is a wonderful summertime recipe, as you can enjoy it as an outdoor grill meal. I love tofu—I always have a package in my refrigerator, and eat it several times a week in dishes, such as pasta or stir-fry, or just simply baked or grilled. Tofu is a very nutritious, minimally processed plant-powered food—high in protein, vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals linked with disease protection. In fact, it’s part of the traditional Asian diet, in which people enjoy lower rates of obesity and chronic diseases. Grilling tofu is easy as can be! Step-by-Step Guide for Grilling Tofu

For best results, press extra firm tofu to remove moisture, and slice into horizontal slabs.
Mix up a flavorful marinade in a shallow dish, such as this Spicy Sesame Marinade in my Grilled Spicy Sesame Tofu recipe.
Here are the ingredients for the Spicy Sesame Marinade in my Grilled Spicy Sesame Tofu recipe.
Pour marinade over the tofu.
Brush marinade over tofu to distribute well and marinate tofu for about 1 hour.
Grill tofu on a heated grill (medium-hot setting) for about 10 minutes (depending on your grill) until golden brown on the under side, then flip to grill the other side until it’s golden brown.
Brush with remaining marinade while cooking.
Enjoy!
