Bob’s Red Mill grains make for the ideal, quick, and easy back to school breakfast, as their variety of whole grains make for a filling and nutritious meal. Here are some great options for back to school breakfasts that you (and your kids!) will love.

5 hr, 20 Total Time
- 2 cups Water
- 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
- 2/3 cup Bob’s Red Mill Steel Cut Oats or Organic Steel Cut Oats
- 1/3 cup chopped Walnuts
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 cup chopped Apples or 1/2 cup Diced Dried Apples
- Combine water, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a deep pot. Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Stir in Bob’s Red Mill Steel Cut Oats and reduce heat to low. Cook until creamy and most of the water has been absorbed, 20 – 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in walnut pieces, vanilla extract and apples.
